How to buy an original

On Etsy: available works can be bought in my Etsy shop. Etsy's terms and my shop policies apply there.

Directly from me: with “Enquire directly” you send me a non-binding enquiry. A purchase contract is only concluded once I confirm your enquiry by e-mail. The confirmation includes the work, the total price including shipping and the payment details.

Prices

All prices are final prices in euros. As a small business under § 19 of the German VAT Act (UStG), I do not charge VAT and therefore do not show it. Shipping costs may apply.

Shipping costs

I ship direct orders within Germany. If several works are shipped together, you pay the full shipping rate once, for the largest format, and only the surcharge for each additional work. Buyers from the United Kingdom can purchase via Etsy.

Delivery time

I ship within 1–3 working days after receiving payment. Delivery within Germany usually takes 2–5 working days.

Pick-up

By arrangement, you can also pick up your painting in Berlin. There are no shipping costs, and you can pay in cash. Works currently on display can also be shipped directly from the exhibition venue.

Payment

For direct purchases, you pay in advance by bank transfer or PayPal. You receive the payment details with my confirmation by e-mail. Cash payment is possible on pick-up. You never enter payment details on this website.

Warranty

The statutory warranty rights apply.

Cancellation Policy

Consumers have a right of withdrawal for direct purchases as set out below. For purchases on Etsy, the cancellation policy in my Etsy shop applies. Only the German version is legally binding.

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which you, or a third party other than the carrier indicated by you, acquire physical possession of the goods.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Daniel Sax, Havelländer Ring 51, 12629 Berlin, Germany, phone: +49 174 7051446, e-mail: art@dan-sax.de) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an e-mail). You may use the attached model withdrawal form, but it is not obligatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of fourteen days has expired.

You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods.

You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Exclusion of the right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for the supply of goods that are not prefabricated and for whose production an individual selection or specification by the consumer is decisive, or that are clearly tailored to the consumer's personal needs – for example commissioned works.
