"Current within Fluorite" is a fascinating exploration of mineral structure and flowing dynamics. In dense, heavily textured layers, intense nuances of cool turquoise, deep blue, and fresh green meet soft, almost floating traces of pale purple. Fine vertical palette knife strokes and sharp ridges run through the surface, creating an archaic, almost crystalline depth. The tactile applications of paint catch the light on the rough crests and in the dark crevices in a unique way. It is a painting that brings the mysterious, shimmering aesthetic of natural formations to life in an abstract form.
